Established in Dublin in 1993 by our CEO Leo Mac Canna, Ocuco pioneered systems for clinical recording to be used by independent optometrists. These systems later expanded to include retail and marketing solutions.
In 1997 Ocuco extended its Practice Management System to cover the needs of enterprise customers and since then Acuitas has been installed in some of the largest chains in the world. In 2008 Ocuco entered the Lab Management System market with the acquisition of Innovations in the US, to further extend the scope of its eye-care software coverage.
Today, Ocuco continues to develop and expand its software products. Recently we have expanded our Free Form offerings in the lab space, and introduced integrated eCommerce products in the retail space.
Over 8,000 sites in 77 countries use Ocuco’s software and services. The company has over 200 staff based in the US, Canada, Ireland, England, Wales, France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Australia and China.

Innovations is the most widely distributed Lab Management System in the world, serving large, medium and small retail and wholesale labs. Over 2500 labs use the system, as well as 5 of the top 10 US optical retailers.
