Equipment Integration

Focus 2.0 has the capacity to integrate any optical equipment providing an image or any other generated file; without the need to work between third party systems or store separate records for patients (electronically or on paper). All information recorded from fundus cameras, keratometers, tonometers, autorefractors, phoropters, lensmeters and so forth can be collected and stored with each individual patient record on the Focus 2.0 platform.

Focus 2.0 can also integrate with multiple peripherals including printers, scanners, barcode readers, receipt printers, label printers and till drawers. A single place to collate all records: patient, referral, prescription, clinical, practice, stock or financial. This greatly increases security and fidelity of information retained by the practice and reduces occurrence of user errors, such as duplicated, altered, deleted or misplaced printed records. The medicolegal grade Oracle platform retains a record of every action performed on the system.

E-commerce & Marketing

Ocuco offers a range of E-commerce add-ons that can be integrated with the Focus 2.0 PMS, including:

  • Couture digital storefronts, custom-made to provide the independent practice with a competitive internet presence.
  • A Web Diary scheduling service allows patients to log in, see available time slots and a book appointments online.
  • An online catalogue of the practice’s spectacles and eyewear products, from which patients can order, using their prescription stored in Focus 2.0 PMS.

With these facilities it is possible for customers to effectively trade 24 hours a day, every day of the week. The maximum potential appointments can be scheduled, and there is no increase in the workload for practice staff. Patients will only be able to order spectacles online from the practice where they recorded their prescription, a major advantage over any competitor who would require a prescription to be provided. The Focus 2.0 system also incorporates a marketing platform that allows users to create letter templates merged with patient details, and then target specific groups of customers, filtered by age, spending habits, last appointment, prescription, and so on. These marketing campaigns can be delivered by traditional printed post, email and SMS text message.
