Coulsdons is an independent optical retail chain with four practices in Surrey: Barlindene, Banstead, Wallington and the eponymous Coulsdon. Offering a fully comprehensive eye care service to these four communities, Coulsdon opticians were looking for a way to integrate all of their practices information, so as to provide consultation for every patient from every practice; already an Ocuco customer since 2007, they opted to be one of the first Ocuco customers to avail of the Software as a Service (SaaS) hosting configuration. We met with the Coulsdons Director, Nishi Maini, at Optrafair 2015 where she described their first 12 months using the cloud SaaS service, and last 8 years with Ocuco.

We are starting to use clinical records, it’s early days, and there’s a few bits and pieces that we need to smooth out before being able to use more of the clinical records system. The objective was to only have to write the prescription out once and we haven’t achieved that yet, but it’s coming and that will be good.”
