Clodagh NicCanna is the Global Development and PMO Director for Ocuco Ltd. Since 2010, Clodagh has been responsible for implementing Ocuco’s PMO and the subsequent advancement of the Development organisation from Waterfall to the Scale Agile Framework. In this time, the Development and PMO team have scaled successfully from a small organisation of 15 to over 100 working successfully as a Globally Distributed Software Development Team in various locations worldwide, including Ireland, the United States, Canada, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, India, Pakistan and the UK. Clodagh’s work within Ocuco has been published in various papers in collaboration with Lero, the Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre for software.
After graduating from University College Dublin with a BSc. and MSc. in Geophysics, Clodagh joined Credit Suisse, First Boston as a Developer of Derivative Trading Systems. She advanced rapidly through the ranks finishing there as a Vice President of a Development Team of 30 before returning to Ireland where she consulted as a Senior Project Manager in Bank of Ireland, First Active and Bank of Scotland. Before joining Ocuco, Clodagh was the Business Manager of Project and Programme Practice Management for Perot Systems (formerly OSL), advancing and implementing PMO’s and ITIL best practices for ESB, Airtricity and AIB.
